THE REMODEL IS ON!!! We began yesterday tearing down the walls in Emily and Morgan's room. It was quite the demolition considering each piece of panelling in that room was indivudual...Not the "panels" that you would think. Here is one of the walls by the door that will remain. We are closing off one of the doors and moving a closet.
We found lots of interesting things in the walls! Too funny!! The house is 55 years old so you can imagine...
I will add more pictures as we do them... Hopefully we will be done by the end of the week... "Hopefully", being the key word...
UPDATE: So it is Sunday and there has been a slight snag in the remodel plans... The wiring... Shew, apparently this old knob and tube wiring is one big wire with things just connected all crazy to it... So it has become pretty much a complete house rewire... Yeah, you can imagine.... Scott's dad and mom went to SC for a couple days to visit family and will be returning today to get back at it again. We left there a little after midnight last night working (Scott was working, Emily and I were sleeping...) So as I go off to work today Scott and his dad will be hard at it again... We only have a couple days before they go back to Indiana, so we are really hoping this gets done...Shew, why can't things ever just go right??
